Biography

I am an incoming Statistics PhD student at the George Washington University.

I completed my Master’s degree in Biostatistics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I worked under the supervision of Dr. Tanya P. Garcia and Dr. Baiming Zou. My Master’s thesis developed an enhanced deep-learning-based Mendelian randomization framework for adjusting unmeasured confounders and complex confounding structures simultaneously. At the MIND Lab, I researched Huntington’s disease, focusing on clinical trial design and identifiability problems in right-censored covariate settings.

Research Interests

My research focuses on developing statistical methodologies for clinical trial design, causal inference, and missing/incomplete data, and on understanding how AI/ML methods can advance these areas. I also enjoy interdisciplinary collaboration: I have previously contributed to consulting projects on neurodegenerative diseases (Huntington’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease) and electronic health records (EHR) data.
